Aging not-so-gracefully: Should mother-of-four Madonna have to act her age?
She might be a mum to four and only a few years away from a free bus pass, but on her recent tour Madonna has been flashing, swearing and shocking fans like a woman half her age.
With hundreds of fans said to have walked out of her last London show, today we’re asking – is it time fifty-three year old Madonna started acting her age? Or is she an example that age doesn’t have to define us?
Whilst she may still reign as the Queen of Pop, her antics of late – which include grabbing her 25-year-old boyfriend’s crotch and flashing her chest to the crowd – now seem less edgy and more embarrassing, giving off a definite whiff of cougar rather than cheeky Material Girl.
Even the biggest fans seem to be a bit embarrassed by Madge’s exhibitionism and despite being in incredible shape for her age – is it time to hang up the corset and fishnet once and for all?
Our office – like many fans are divided, whilst some think she’s only trying to compete with shock and awe singers like Lady Gaga, others believe that a legend like Madonna shouldn’t have to resort to such antics in order to gain respect.
