Are you ready for the big chill?
Temperatures have dropped and the weather is going wild all over Britain today, forcing flights to be cancelled and bringing chaos on the roads as snow and hurricane-force winds of up to 93mph hit the country.
Set to last for three days, this extreme patch of weather and has already caused travel disruption this morning, with crashes up in the north of England and in Scotland and 80 flights being cancelled at Heathrow Airport too.
High speed winds have left thousands of homes without power and have led to further rail and road disruptions.
The Met Office has said up to eight inches of snow could fall, with much of the country under a severe weather warning already. Forecasters are warning of more dangerous conditions to follow, as the heavy snow is set to spread wider over tomorrow and Saturday. Uh-oh!
It all sounds very dramatic to us as here at UKMums.tv as we are yet to see a single snowflake! We would love to see the extreme weather near you so send us pictures over on Facebook and Twitter!
