Baby rescued by Firefighters after being locked in day care centre alone
Journee Jones a one year old child was trapped in 'All Things are Possible for Kids' day care centre in Chicago on Monday night. Her father arrived on the scene 15 minutes before the day centre was due to close, however he found the whole building locked with all the lights turned off.
'I was terrified and I was also hurt because I knew she was in there in the dark and I couldn't get to her,' Jones told Fox 32.
After phoning the emergency services, the fire department came to force open the door to retrieve the baby that was crying. Jones then said ‘one of the police officers flashed a light to the left and flashed it back to the right and that's when I saw her crawling towards us screaming and my heart just dropped.'
When asked why the baby had been left in the locked day care centre the director of the business said that they 'thought Journee was a doll'
