A tragedy as big as a soggy bottom?
Apparently, more people are upset about this than the UK’s decision to leave the EU! If you haven’t heard already (where have you been?!), it’s now been announced The Great British Bake Off is moving from the BBC, its home since the series started, to Channel 4.
It seems fans on social media aren’t happy that Love Productions, which makes the hit show, signed the deal after negotiations with the BBC broke down. The BBC has previously said it hoped Love Productions would change its mind and that Bake Off was a "quintessentially BBC programme". Channel 4 is understood to have offered more money. Here at UKMums.TV, we’re huge Bake Off fans as you’ll know if you’ve been following our weekly coverage and questions have been flying around the office: Will the format change? Will judges Mary Berry and Paul Holywood and presenters Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins move too?
We’re interested to know what you think: Will you be crying tiers (excuse the pun), fearing the Channel 4 series will fail to rise to expectations, or happy to tune into a different channel as long as you get your cake fix?
