Boy’s Heartwarming Valentine’s Treat
Our little ones are always on hand to make us smile and cheer us up if we’re having a bad day, even if they don’t realise it. When four-year-old Max Schofield realised that his mum, Emma, was not looking forward to Valentine’s Day, he made sure that she had a special day that she will never forget.
Max escorted his recently divorced mum to Pizza Express in Torquay for a special meal which he offered to pay for with his jar of saved up pennies. The staff at the restaurant were moved to tears as they watched Max cheer up his mum with a “dinner date” and they were so moved by his gesture that they gave Max and Emma their three course meal free of charge. Max had even bought his mum a card and picked out a gift for her beforehand so that she wouldn’t be left feeling down on Valentine’s Day.
Emma posted the story on Facebook and it has now been shared dozens of times with many people commenting on Max’s kindness and thoughtfulness.
