Some happy news for Bridget Jones Fans – the third instalment of the popular film is currently taking shape, with Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant rumoured to be returning to our screens next year.
Although release dates are quite a way off, it has been revealed that the third instalment will be called Bridget Jones’s Baby and that Bridg is set to become a mum.
Tim Bevan, the co-chairman of Working Title Films, told Radio 1 Newsbeat:
"The script is being written. Bridget Jones's Baby is like herding cats, but they're beginning to fall into line."
Whilst it’s not confirmed that Renee or Colin will reprise their roles of on-off couple Bridget and Mark, Hugh Grant has already confirmed that he would love to return to play ladies’ man Daniel Cleaver.
Would you be excited for a third instalment and to see Bridget tackle motherhood? Or would you worry that they wouldn’t be able to capture the spirit of the first two books and films?
