Britain preparing for Black Friday shopping bonanza
Millions of British shoppers are preparing themselves for a one-day shopping spree as retailers will be cutting their prices by up to 70% in a day of deals. Major retailers across the globe are set to outline big deals in high street shops and online for Black Friday, right before the traditional Christmas sales. It is estimated that British shoppers spent around £810m on online goods alone in last year’s Black Friday sales, according to figures from retail experts IMRG.
In this country retailers such as Tesco, John Lewis and Argos are all set to be joining in with the deals. Tesco has said that they will be offering over 200 deals on electrical, entertainment and mobile products, whilst John Lewis will be working through the day to match competitors’ offers with its own bargains. Popular online retailer Amazon is set to go all-out on Black Friday, with new offers going live every ten minutes and discounted products only being available for a limited amount of time. Other deals across the stores will include offers on electrical goods at Curry’s/PC World and offers on designer and beauty products in Debenhams stores.
