Eagles of Death Metal hope to be the first performer’s when the Bataclan theatre reopens
The lead singer of Eagles of Death Metal hopes to be the first person to play at the Bataclan theatre once it has reopened. The theatre was forced to shut after three gunmen stormed the gig in Paris killing a total of 89 people.
Whilst speaking to Vice, lead singer Jesse Hughes had this to say about the attack: "Cannot wait to get back to Paris and play. Our friends went to see rock and roll and died. I want to go back there and live. I want to be the first person to play in the Bataclan when it opens up."
All of the band members managed to escape the attack unharmed, however the lead singer spoke out about his experience when he saw one of the gunmen: "I saw the shooter, he turned and brought the gun down on me but the barrel hit the doorframe.”
