Facebook feed clogged with other parents’ baby pics? New app swaps them with cats!

Every mother knows that their baby is the absolute cutest thing on the planet, but if you’re secretly getting sick of other parents over-sharing photos of their baby’s every move/sneeze – a quirky new app could ‘de-baby’ your Facebook feed in a click.

The Google Chrome plug-in Unbaby.me will search your Facebook news feed and swap baby photos with Instagram photos of cats. It might seem strange, but anyone who has that one friend who over-shares with 30 photos of their newborn – per day, will be at least tempted to give it a go.

The plug-in will search for common proud mummy phrases like ‘year old’, ‘cutest baby’ and so on, but users are encouraged to add their own terms to filter out photos they just don’t want to see – the mums who post proud ‘potty-pics’ we’re looking at you.

Whilst it might seem a bit mean-spirited, we might have a go and see if we can filter out some of the more embarrassing photos – even from non-parents that our friends just can’t help but share!
