GMB presenters wear face masks to avoid Susanna Reid’s germs
If you were watching Good Morning Britain yesterday morning then you’ll have seen an under-the-weather Susanna Reid try to battle through the programme as her co-presenters decided to wear face masks as a precaution. The presenter was determined to maintain her record of not having a sick day since 2005, but co-host Piers Morgan was taking no risks as he presented the breakfast programme with a face mask on. He joked that he was “furious” that she was ill but Reid said she’s “stubborn” and would not take a sick day.
Both co-presenters Piers Morgan and Charlotte Hawkins chose to protect themselves from Susanna Reid’s "lurgy" by wearing face masks live on air, with Reid asking Morgan if he could wear a face mask every morning if that meant he wouldn’t talk.
This comes after last week’s entertaining live TV incident in which Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby turned up to present ITV’s “This Morning” fresh from the NTAs the night before and, if you were watching, I’m sure you’ll agree that fresh is not the right word to use!
