Grenfell Tower charity single released today
After much sadness in the news the last few weeks, Simon Cowell has brought together singers and musicians to create a track for the victims and survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire.
The Grenfell tower charity single is a cover version of Simon & Garfunkel’s 1970 single Bridge Over Troubled Water and features an array of stars including Craig David, Robbie Williams, Rita Ora and Stromzy who opens the track with a rap about the tragedy.
The single was released today to raise money for those affected by the fire, currently standing there are 79 people presumed dead and hundreds more without homes due to the fire.
This track has a sense of everyone coming together and uniting to help those affected by the tragic fire that occurred last week. Gareth Malone from Pitch Battle, formed a choir that appear on the track made up of 300 locals, many of which are survivors and nurses who treated victims.
The single is available on iTunes now and money raised through artistsforgrenfell.com will go towards The London Community Foundation.
