Happy Birthday Your Majesty!
Thousands have gathered outside Windsor Castle this morning awaiting the arrival of the Queen as she celebrates her 90th birthday!
The celebrations began yesterday with a visit to Windsor's Royal Mail delivery office to mark the 500th Anniversary of the postal service. Later in the day, she officially opened the new bandstand in Windsor's Alexandra Gardens.
Today she will spend the day in private at Windsor castle surrounded by close friends and family, but she will give well-wishers the chance to wish her many happy returns as she unveils a plaque on the Queen's Walkway. The Queen will then go on a walkabout with the Duke of Edinburgh to meet members of the public.
At 12:00 BST, gun salutes will be held at saluting stations across the UK, including at Hillsborough Castle, Cardiff Castle, and Edinburgh Castle. In the evening, she will light the first in a chain of about 1,000 beacons across the UK and worldwide to mark her birthday.
The US President Barack Obama will also join the Queen at Windsor Castle for a private lunch on the 22nd with the major event taking place between 12th-15th May in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Will you be celebrating in anyway? We'd love to hear how!
