Is your child’s car seat safe?

Mums and dads, you need to read this! It’s important you check your children’s car seat ASAP as a number of models have been recalled over safety fears. Is your son or daughter’s seat affected? Read on to find out!

Mamas & Papas has identified a potential safety concern affecting some of their car seats - Mamas & Papas Nembus, Mamas & Papas Aureus Group 123 and Mamas & Papas Altair - sold through Asda, Tesco, Shop Direct and some independent retailers. In the event of an accident, the car seat may crack and may not provide the full protection.

However, don’t panic if you own one. Mamas & Papas assures customers that none of the affected car seats have been on sale since March 2015 and there have been no reports of any incidents involving any of the affected car seats. Anyone who owns one of the seats is advised to stop using it immediately and to contact the Customer Services team on 03332 412154. A courier service will collect the car seat and a full refund or replacement will be given.

Alternatively, these seats can also be taken to a Mamas & Papas store and their advisors will issue a refund or a suitable replacement product. Please note proof of purchase is not required. If you bought one of these car seats from Asda, Tesco or Shop Direct (Littlewoods & Very), please still contact Mamas & Papas directly.
