She might have created a book series which parents loved just as much as children, but you don’t have to be embarrassed about reading J.K. Rowling’s latest novel as it’s designed just for adults!
Her first book since the incredible Harry Potter series and very first adult book is due on 27th September and centres on a small English parish, which is torn apart by a local election.
After Barry Fairbrother dies in his early forties, the idyllic English town of Pagford is left in shock. With Barry’s seat on the parish council left wide open, the race to fill his shoes causes the biggest war the town has ever seen.
Soon the pretty façade of the town is brought down as teenagers feud with their parents, wives go to war against husbands and teachers battle their students, is Pagford really what it seems?
