Just Good Mates? Experts Reveal Men and Women Can Never Just Be Friends

Men and women can just be good friends, right? Not according to new research, which reveals that most friends of the opposite sex are actually fuelled by sexual attraction and secretly feel ‘more than just friends’.

It seems that Harry was right in telling Sally that ‘the sex part’ always gets in the way of male and female friendships as it’s usually men who harbour feelings towards their female friends.

Researchers found that young men were more likely to be attracted to their female friends and would like to date them, whether they were single or not. Although men also believed that their female mates felt the same (typical!), in contrast women are only likely to become attracted to male friends when their relationship hit the rocks and if the friend was single.
