Kate Middleton guest edits The Huffington Post
Children’s mental health is an issue that is not often brought to light in the media, but as mums it is one we feel is very important. The Duchess of Cambridge has today become the guest editor of The Huffington Post in a bid to discuss the problems facing children’s mental health issues. Her blog post forms part of her ongoing work on children’s mental health and ties in with the launch of the Young Minds Matter initiative which aims to discuss the causes of and solutions to the stigma surrounding mental health in the UK.
A temporary newsroom has been set up at Kensington Palace so that the Huffpost UK team can join the Duchess for the day. Kate has helped to commission a series of articles that will appear on The Huffington Post throughout the day which will draw on the work being done by teachers, parents and young people to raise awareness of mental health issues. Her blog post focuses on the issue of children’s mental health and how parents should not be afraid to seek emotional or psychiatric help for their children.
