Last Chance to Register for EU Vote
So, have you made your mind up yet? It’s the big question we’re being asked at the moment, whether to stay or leave the European Union. But to make your thoughts count by voting in the referendum on June 23rd you must be registered. And if you haven’t already done so, you only have until midnight tonight (June 7).
As the BBC reports, it is believed several million people have yet to register as the deadline looms. Though, don’t panic if you haven’t yet as you can do it online via this link. You’ll need your National Insurance number, or passport number if a UK citizen living abroad. Residents in Northern Ireland need to download and return this form.
You won’t need to sign up if you registered to vote ahead of last year's general election or last month's elections in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and live at the same address.
Remember, you’re only eligible to cast a vote if you’re a British or Irish citizen living in the UK and aged 18 or over. Citizens of Commonwealth countries have to be on the electoral register to actually do so.
With 16 days to go until referendum day, have you already decided whether you want the UK to leave or remain in the EU? If so, we’d love to know what you’re thinking. Let us know over on our Facebook and Twitter, and don’t forget to vote in our poll!
