Prince George attends his first day at nursery
The Duchess of Cambridge has released two photos of Prince George on his first day at nursery as she and Prince William dropped him off. The young prince attended Westacre Montessori Nursery School in Norfolk for the first time on Wednesday, close to the family’s country home at Anmer Hall and the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. The photos show George wearing a navy-blue quilted coat with a sky-blue rucksack on his back as he arrived at the nursery.
Prince George, who is third in line to the throne after his grandfather Prince Charles and father Prince William, will attend the nursery when his parents are staying at Anmer Hall but not when the family are at Kensington Palace, their London home. The nursery reportedly costs around £5.50 an hour, or £33 a day, to attend and George will receive a unique educational experience whilst there. The nursery differs from more traditional nurseries as it has mixed-age classrooms and encourages children to work independently to focus on their natural development.
