Remembering Princess Diana on the 20th anniversary of her death
Today the world is remembering the “people’s princess” as we all mourn Diana on the 20th anniversary of her death. Can you believe it’s been 20 years since Princess Diana’s death already? It only feels like yesterday when the news of her death was splashed across the papers and now here we are 20 years later!
It’s sad to think that Diana was just 36 when she died in that tragic car crash in Paris, her boys; Prince William and Prince Harry were only 15 and 12 respectively at the time of her death. They have grown up into such fine young men we are sure that their mother would be so proud of them!
Yesterday, they paid tribute to their mother’s death when they visited the memorial space in the grounds of Kensington Palace. The gardens have been created in Diana’s memory with her favourite white flowers and it is simply stunning!
On the anniversary of the princess’s death, it is thought that the boys will spend some private time away from the spotlight and remember their mother on her anniversary in private. Along with her boys, we will all take a moment to remember Princess Diana today. As a humanitarian and patron for over 100 charities during her lifetime, she had some significant achievements and left an incredible legacy.
To mark her impact on the world, fans of the princess have left floral tributes and pictures at the entrance to Kensington Palace which echoes the images of the palace gates after her death 20 years ago. At UKMums.tv we will take a moment to think about an incredible woman whose life was cut too short and today her sons will remember her for the wonderful mother that she was.
