Ten-month-old girl becomes first child with Downs Syndrome to land modelling campaign
Ten-month-old baby girl Valentina has made history by becoming the first child with Downs Syndrome to land her very own swimsuit campaign.
The adorable little girl is the face of presitigious Spanish swimwear designer Dolores Cortés 2013 kids’ collection and has also landed the cover of the brand’s American catalogue.
Also setting her sights on the catwalk, Valentina made her runway debut this week by being carried down the catwalk at Miami Swim Fashion Week.
The designer who believes that all children deserve the same opportunities, said in a statement: “People with Down's syndrome are just as beautiful and deserve the same opportunities. I'm thrilled to have Valentina modelling for us.”
The fashion designer will be donating 10 per cent of the profits from the new collection to the Down Syndrome Association of Miami.
