Tried and tested tips on how to keep warm.
Just when we thought spring was coming, it looks like snow is placing a blanket on the UK this week!
BBC News asked people from cold Russia, Serbia, Canada, Austria and… Newcastle, England for their tips on how to stay warm, and here’s what they said.
Tip 1: There’s never too many clothes.
Make sure you wrap up with several layers of clothing – even if you do look like an eskimo!
Bethany from from Austria said: “right now she’s wearing 10 layers if not 12 layers of clothing”!
Tip 2: Thick gloves and good winter socks.
Believe it or not you may have to sacrifice a couple of lifestyle choices including selfies! Taking selfies when it’s minus outside will make your fingers freeze so make sure you’re wearing thick gloves at all times.
Tip 3: Always carry a hot drink.
Grabbing a hot drink on the way to work in cold climate temperatures is great for warming you up and it can also be used as a hand warmer!
Tip 3: Think ski clothes.
If you work outside or you’re walking somewhere you may want to invest in some ski clothes as they’re renound for keeping your warm and dry!
Tip 4: Keep moving!
There’s nothing better than keeping the heart rate going.
Tip 5: Infact, just don’t go outside..
Take lots of hot baths and get cosy with your favourite hot drink and blanket!
