A Cool Pumpkin with Bosch DIY
With a little help from Bosch you can easily turn a pumpkin into a creepy drinks cooler. Instead of carving another scary face, with a few simple steps and a bucket of ice you can transform your pumpkin into a spooktacular centrepiece!
List of materials
- 1 large pumpkin
- 1 bowl
- Ice cubes
Bosch PSA 700 E sabre saw
Bosch PSR 10.8 LI-2 cordless drill driver with holesaw (adjust to size of bottles, in this case 6 cm diameter)
Step 1: sawing horizontally through the centre of the pumpkin, the Bosch PSA 700 E sabre saw makes easy work of it. Once in two halves, hollow out the centres of the pumpkin.
Note: For hygiene reasons, do not use the pumpkin flesh to prepare food.
Step 2: Drill large holes in the top half of the pumpkin, ensuring that they are wide enough to hold the bottles/cans. Bosch’s PSR 10.8 LI-2 cordless drill driver is great for this task.
Step 3: Place a bowl full of ice cubes in the lower half of the pumpkin and pop the pumpkin lid on top. You can then fill the holes with bottles ready to chill for Halloween
