Bank holiday ideas with the kids
The Late Summer Bank Holiday Monday falls on 28th August this year and you’ve probably already planned a fantastic family day out. However, if not, then here are a few ideas for you.
Just in case it’s typical bank holiday weather (i.e. wet!) how about a trip to the cinema to see The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature? It will be released on 11th August but will almost certainly still be doing the rounds for the bank holiday – it sounds like it will be a barrel of laughs.
Watch Rhinos graze on the Manor House’s front lawn and walk up the Giraffe walkway to get eye-to-eye with these amazing animals. Or, you might fancy getting up close with the Lemurs. All of these are possible with a visit to the Cotswold Wildlife Park - a fantastic day out for all the family.
We love the Black Country Museum, one of the finest open-air museums in the country, where everyday life in the past is recreated. An absolutely fascinating place to visit for a taste of life from yesterday!
Europe’s biggest street festival, a vivid spectacle representing London’s multicultural past and present, will take place over the August bank holiday weekend. With carnival floats and live music ranging from reggae to dub to salsa, this is an event not to be missed. Just hope for good weather!
A visit to Go Ape is all about living life adventurously, having fun with friends and family and exploring the great outdoors. With 31 venues around the UK in spectacular parks and forest settings, Go Ape will provide an unforgettable adventure for young and old alike!
