Beer and Cider Festivals in the UK
As September is in full swing, we thought we’d put together our top beer and cider festivals in the UK. From the warm ale, beards, large bellies (only for some of us) and good old pork pies, we hope that each festival will bring you joy and excitement. Each festival has its own personality which gives you the perfect opportunity to try malty, hoppy goodness from all over the country that isn’t really easily accessed in pubs alone. Here are our top five beer and cider festivals that have caught our eye.
Tamworth Beer Festival (CAMRA): 8th – 10th September, 2016
Tamworth Beer Festival is an amazing opportunity to drink to your heart’s content. From 11am – 11pm we reckon this will be a cracker! Make sure you head on down to the Masonic Rooms on Lichfield Street in Tamworth for the rowdy fun!
Birmingham Beer and Cider Festival: 27th – 29th October, 2016
If you fancy doing something later on in the year, why not visit this beer and cider festival in Birmingham this October time? Whether you’re a regular drinker, a real ale drinker, never even tried ale or an occasional sampler; this festival is the one for you. With over 200+ real ales to try and 70+ ciders on offer, we’re certain this festival will suit any taste.
Tynemouth Beer Festival: 15th – 17th September, 2016

Robin Hood (Nottingham CAMRA): 12th – 15th October, 2016
A big, popular and legendary real ale cider festival held in the grounds of Nottingham Castle with a huge range of drinks in the main big tent on the top of the hill and a few smaller beer tents with food stalls along the pathways. You can expect a choice of over 1000 beers and 200 ciders throughout the 3 days! Make sure you make an appearance, you won’t want to miss it!
42nd Annual Steel City Beer & Cider Festival: 19th – 22nd October, 2016
Back at the Kelham Island Industrial Museum for the third year running. Over 200 beers and ciders to choose from and live music with various street food stalls spread across the atmospheric areas of the venue. Situated within a Victorian Courtyard in a marquee, we hope you can make it, it’s a festival not to be missed!
Wherever you choose to go remember don’t drink too much!
