Best Chocolate Cupcakes with Nutella cloud frosting



Try these yummy Chocolate cupcakes to impress family and friends- believe us, they are well worth the effort!






Ingredients- Make 12 large cupcakes

For the cupcakes

• 95g plain flour
• 150g White sugar
• 30g cocoa powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp baking powder
• 1tsp corn starch
• 80ml buttermilk
• 60ml black coffee ( made up)
• 1 egg beaten
• 45ml vegetable oil
• 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

For the frosting

• 225g Butter softened but cool
• 190g icing sugar
• 2tsp vanilla extract
• 125g dark chocolate melted and cooled
• 100g Nutella
• 15ml milk


1. Preheat the oven to 180
2. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and soda and corn-starch together
3. In a jug combine the buttermilk, coffee, oil, egg and vanilla
4. Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and combine
5. Add the mixture to cupcake cased and bake for 15-17 minutes 

For the frosting

1. Combine the icing sugar and butter together until smooth
2. Add the vanilla and then the chocolate and combine
3. Add the Nutella and the milk and mix until smooth

Frost your cupcakes when they are completely cool and top with sprinkles!
