Best New Year’s Hangover Cures
If you’re getting ready to bring in the New Year with a drink, then be prepared for the morning after with some of our best hangover cures!
We’re guessing that, for many of you, 2016 will not begin with an early rise and brunch is more likely to be on the cards than breakfast. The classic fry up is not always the best option and can make you feel worse, so trying something less substantial such as toast or cereal may be a better choice.
It may seem obvious, but drinking lots of water is the best cure for any hangover. You’re sure to feel dehydrated after a night of drinking and water is a great way of getting rid of headaches. Drinking water before you sleep can also prevent you feeling the full effects of a hangover the next day.
If you can’t bear to fight your hangover, then spend the first day of 2016 in bed napping. Most hangovers don’t last more than 24 hours, so having a rest and catching up on sleep can be a good way of restoring yourself back to full health. Why not put on your favourite films in between naps to take your mind off how you’re feeling?
Many celebrities have been seen sipping a Coca-Cola after a night out and, though it may not be an obvious cure, a can of Coke might just be what you need. Coca-Cola is full of sugar and fluids which need to be put back into your body after you’ve been drinking and the caffeine will give you an extra energy boost!
It sounds like the worst possible thing to do on New Year’s morning after a night of drinking but, for those of you who are brave enough to take a step outside the house, this can really work wonders. Hangovers make us all feel miserable so, to get rid of this symptom, go for a gentle walk or jog and you’re sure to feel much happier as the New Year begins.
