Celebrate Chinese New Year in Style

Celebrate Chinese New Year in Style

Here at UKMums.tv we love any excuse to have a party, that’s why we can’t wait to celebrate Chinese New Year. So take a look at our tips on how to celebrate in style and welcome in the year of the monkey on Sunday 7th February.

1. To start with, every party needs some good food, so if you don’t fancy calling up your local Chinese takeaway, why not cook something yourself? We love curry and this year we plan on preparing a Chinese chicken curry for our guests. If you’re not sure what sauce to use, we recommend Goldfish Brand Chinese Curry Sauce (£2.00). This concentrate sauce has the perfect blend of flavours and is guaranteed to go down a storm.

2. Next up you will need some decorations. We love Chinese lanterns, these stylish decorations not only decorate your home, but come the end of the night you can blow them away in the wind to mark the passing of the year. Our favourites are the Large Hanging Chinese Lanterns from Party Delights (£7.99).

3. Finally, every party needs some music. I’m not sure how synonymous Auld Lang Syne is with Chinese culture, but we thought there’s no better way to end the year (obviously sung in Mandarin).
