Creative Days out with the kids!
With spring well and truly upon us and the Easter holidays ahead, we thought we’d bring you some inspiration for some fun creative days out with the kids!
BeWILDerwood – Norfolk
This is somewhere that has recently been brought to our attention and we can’t wait to visit! It may be difficult to get to for some, but then you can always find a local hotel and stay over so the drive isn’t too bad in one day. BeWILDerwood is a huge, award-winning forest of family fun and outdoor adventure. There are treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges, Crocklebogs, Twiggles and Boggles, storytelling, boat trips, marsh walks and really yummy food which all make for a magical day.
Eureka! The National Children’s Museum – Halifax
Eureka is not like other museums in that nothing is trapped behind a glass cabinet! There are over 400 interactive, hands-on exhibits and six unique galleries to discover, each with a different theme to explore. Each area is packed with equipment, activities to do, and buttons to press. And there are various events that run throughout the year so there is always something new and exciting to discover! This museum is definitely worth the trip and, who knows, you might even learn something new too!
Gir Lion Lodge - London Zoo
Now, this is quite expensive and won’t be for everyone, but for a special occasion or a one-off trip, it would definitely be worth the expense for animal-loving children! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sleep over at the zoo? Well, you can find out for yourself with a stay at the Gir Lion Lodge. Located within roaring distance of the Asiatic lions, you can experience the Zoo in a whole new light and discover what happens when visitors go home. The package includes a sunset tour, dinner, and night walk, an overnight stay and breakfast amongst other things! A truly one off experience!
The National History Museum – London
For an exciting and mostly free day out (other than travel), The National History Museum doesn’t disappoint! With a host of attractions, children of all ages will love discovering about creatures from the past!
We’d love to hear your suggestions for family days out this Easter, too? Where are you heading with the kids?
