Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul

If previous The Diary of a Wimpy Kid film releases are anything to go by, The Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul has all the makings of a fantastic comedy film that’s a great watch for all the family, so the UKMums.TV team checked out the previews to see what this film has to offer. Read on to find out what’s in store ahead of its release next month!

Based on the book of the same name by Jeff Kinney, this 20th Century Fox film follows Greg Heffley, who’s played by Jason Drucker, as he convinces his family to take a road trip to attend his great-grandmother’s 90th birthday. But it’s all a cover for what he really wants to do which is to attend a nearby gamer convention.

As you can imagine, things don’t go to plan so expect the hilarious Heffley family antics we’ve come to love from the previous films as it’s the fourth instalment in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film series and the sequel to Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. There are so many comedy moments, this film will have you and your family laughing out loud all the way through.

Plus, there’s an entirely new cast from the previous Wimpy Kid films. This time it stars Alicia Silverstone as Greg’s embarrassing and over-protective mum Susan and Tom Everett Scott as Frank, Greg’s over-reacting but well-meaning father.

Have a look at the trailer below and let us know whether you’re looking forward to seeing it at the cinema over on UKMums.TV’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
