Friday Cocktail: Wine Three Ways

Friday Cocktail: Wine Three Ways

We all love a glass of wine (or two) after a hard day and after five very hard days it’s only fair that we give ourselves a bit of a treat. When reaching for your bottle this weekend try one of my favourite wine cocktails, here’s some of my favourite recipes for red, white and rosé wine. Enjoy!

Longs

Rosé – Pink Cooler

Ingredients:

½ glass of ice
½ glass of rosé wine
Lemonade or sparkling water
Slice of lime

Fill a large glass with crushed ice. Then fill the glass half full with rosé wine and the other half with lemonade or sparkling water. Garnish with a slice of lime or whatever fruit you have to hand. It’s fruity, fresh and won’t go straight to your head!

White Wine - Blissini

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups of Prosecco (chilled)
1 ½ cups of orange juice
1 ½ cups of chilled pomegranate juice
Mint leaves for garnish.

Mix the above ingredients and pour into slightly chilled glasses. Top with your mint leaf garnish!

Red Wine – Katemba

Ingredients:

A glass ice
Red wine
1 can Coca-Cola
Lemon wedge for garnish

Pour ice into a long glass, fill two-thirds of the way with red wine and then top up with some coca-cola. Add a lemon wedge to make it pretty. Yes, it sounds strange but trust us – this is one of those so-simple it’s silly cocktails that lets you use up cheap or slightly stale red wine.
