How to Get a Summer Glow in the Spring

With the temperature rising, who wouldn’t want a summer glow? With our top tips you can achieve the desired summer look!

Every woman’s best friend all year round, self-tanners are the key to a summer glow without the sun. Depending on what tanner you use, you can be sure to fool anyone – as long as you apply them correctly with no streaks!

A self-tanning product we recommend is the St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse (1) – it’s super lightweight and easy to apply. For best results use a tanning mitt.

A second self-tanning product which is a must is Prtty Peaushun Skin Tight Body Lotion (2), AKA ‘Magic Cream’. Infused with natural plant extracts to lift, tighten, firm and banish the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks and varicose veins, this will leave your skin looking summer ready from the inside out!

Bronzer is another way to achieve a summer glow without the UV rays. You have to be careful though as you can overdo it. They key is to make sure you put a little bit on your cheeks, nose, forehead and jawline. Also, make sure your bronzer is the correct colour for you so it looks natural and blends in!

Make sure you exfoliate before any application of self-tan. A self - tanner like the Chocolate Sun Dark Chocolate Truffle Body Scrub (3) will give you a great natural looking tan that fades gradually until you apply it again.

During the summer, you wear makeup less and less. So if you want to try an alternative to cakey foundation, why not try tinted moisturiser? A tinted moisturiser is a great way to add a glow to skin with the correct amount of coverage. Why not try Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 (4) - it’s easy to use and is award winning for flawless skin. Alternatively, try Spa Magik BB Cream (5), the beauty balm which helps to hydrate any skin type whilst providing a light tinted coverage which adapts to your skin tone.

Try and drink eight glasses of water a day to keep your skin looking healthy and replenished. Dehydration will cause your skin to look rundown, but once you start drinking water you hair, body and nails will be thinking of you!
