How to light up your dark mornings!

When the clocks change and autumn starts to turn to winter, it can be difficult to have that get up and go you felt in the summer! The mornings are dark and the smell of coffee doesn’t have its usual adrenaline fuelled reaction, so let’s take a look at our top tips to get your morning mojo back!

Don’t hit snooze

We’ve all done it, the ‘how many times can we hit snooze’ challenge, but what you do when you wake up in the mornings can make or break your day! When your alarm goes off don’t be tempted to hit snooze, you’ll just lie there thinking how comfortable you are and how you don’t want to get out of a warm cosy bed.  Instead, get up as soon as the alarm sounds and jump into a nice refreshing shower with your favourite body wash to kick start your morning!

Drink in the goodness

We don’t know about you, but warm water and lemon doesn’t quite do it for us on a cold winter morning, no matter how many articles we read about how it’s great for our metabolism! Instead we opt for a belly filling green juice! Full of fruit and veg including celery, kale and cucumber, our bodies love the antioxidants it provides and the boost we feel for our day ahead!

Exercise, the nice way!

Braving the chill for a morning run doesn’t sound like fun to us, but a set of relaxing  yoga stretches that we can do in the comfort of our living room does! Increasing our flexibility, muscle strength and tone is just the ticket to get our endorphins going to give us a lasting morning buzz!

Play it loud play it proud

Lastly forget about the traffic jams and that morning meeting you have, by blasting out your favourite tunes on the commute to work.  Sing your heart out and dance away your morning blues! Remember to keep your eyes on the road though!
