Iconic Solar Eclipse images
Today, is the day of the iconic solar eclipse, so to celebrate we’d thought we’d put together some of the most iconic solar eclipse images in history. Solar Eclipses happen around every six months, but this one is special. For the first time in almost 40 years, the path of the moon’s shadow passes through the continental United States.
A partial solar eclipse of the sun is visible next to the iconic Liver Bird on top of the Liver Building in Liverpool!
A rare partial solar eclipse was seen over in Northamptonshire on March 20th, 2015. The eclipse shines slightly through the cloud.
The moon blocked out the sun over Indonesia and nearby regions on March 9th that wowed stargazers.
4. United States
The path of the 1970 eclipse also known as the “eclipse of the century” ran nearly the entire coast of the Unites states.
A total solar eclipse was visible from the Northern tip of Australia on November 12th, 2012. The light halo around the edges of the moon is the suns atmosphere, the corona.
