New film releases for 2018

Fancy a trip to the movies?  We’ve taken a look at IMDb to see what films are being released in early 2018 and here are the ones which have taken our fancy.

Fifty Shades Freed – 9th February

The long awaited third instalment of the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ trilogy finally hits the screens in February.  Newlyweds Christian and Ana fully embrace an inextricable connection and shared life of luxury, believing they have left behind shadowy figures from their past.  But, just as she steps into her role as Mrs. Grey and he relaxes into an unfamiliar stability, new threats could jeopardise their happy ending before it even begins!

Entebbe – 9th March

For those of you who like true-life movies, this one is a must! In 1976, four hijackers took over an aeroplane, taking the passengers hostage and forcing it to land in Entebbe in Uganda in an effort to free dozens of Palestinians who were jailed in Israel. After much debate, the Israeli government sent an elite commando unit to raid the airfield and release the hostages.

Midnight Sun – 30th March

Based on the Japanese film, Midnight Sun centres on 17-year-old Katie who has been confined to her house during the day by a rare disease which makes even the smallest amount of sunlight deadly.  Fate intervenes when she meets Charlie and they embark on a summer romance – dreams come true at night.

Ready Player One – 30th March

This film centres on a young outcast named Wade Watts. In the near future, Watts escapes from his daily drudgery by logging onto an MMO game called 'The Oasis'. When the game's billionaire founder dies, he offers players his fortune as the prize in an Easter egg hunt within The Oasis. Watts gets in on the action then after five years finds himself facing off against corporate foes who will go to any lengths to get the money - in both the real world and in The Oasis.

Incredibles 2 – 13th July

Okay, the release date isn’t until July, but this one’s for the kids so we hope they can wait that long!  Mr. Incredible is left to care for Jack-Jack while Elastigirl is out saving the world, so here’s a barrowful more fun, action and adventure!
