Quick Playground Fashion for Parents
Stepping into the playground again as a parent can be daunting and when you pick your kids up from school you don’t really want to make a huge effort as it’s just standing around and waiting for your kids. With our top picks, you’ll be sure to look your best in a flash, without any agro!
Here at UKMums.TV we know it’s an effort to look half decent when picking the kids up from school, but even if you threw on a pair of jeans, boots and a nice top this will be the perfect outfit for mums who like style yet not too much to overpower.
It has been known for mums to visit their children’s playgrounds and go to meetings with teachers in their pyjamas! They’re so many reasons not to wear pyjamas on a school run. What if your car breaks down? What if you’re called into the head teacher, or even worse, what if people start to call you the slummy mummy! So our advice is: No PJs in the playground, please!
If the weather is sunny and hot, why not be the hot momma and wear shorts, skirt, or skinny jeans with a chequered shirt, or even a patterned maxi dress? Or maybe, if you don’t fancy anything too adventurous, why not hop along to Next and buy yourself a smock dress? You may even have one the mums commenting on your dress sense, asking where your outfit is from. Surely, that will make you feel good about yourself!
You could even chuck on an old pair of leggings and an old baggy top with a pair of flip flops or dolly shoes, no one’s going to judge you! As long as it’s not pyjamas we think you’ll be okay.
If the weather's not too good, why not go for something warm? For example, a fluffy jumper or cable knit jumper with either leggings or jeans and long brown or black boots. All you need is something to keep you warm for a short amount of time, nothing too extravagant.
