School of Wok Introduction to Dim Sum Class

We love Dim Sum so when we were approached to see if we wanted to learn how to make some at The School of Wok we jumped at the opportunity!

The School of Wok is Europe’s only award winning Asian and oriental cookery school and after just three hours there we can see why.
When we arrived for the introduction to Dim Sum class we were greeted by Hannah the chef who was running the course and offered a drink (wine and beer included!).

There were 17 of us on the course and throughout the afternoon we were taught how to handle traditional Chinese knives, how to fill and wrap spring rolls, how to make BBQ Spare Rib sauce and how to fold Gyoza.

The demonstrations were easy to follow and Hannah kept it light hearted. Working as a team we cooked enough food to feed 5,000!

At the end of the session the table was set for dinner and we all sat down to eat what we had cooked. It was a lovely finish to the course and everything was amazingly yummy!

The School of Wok offers a relaxed leaning atmosphere making their courses perfect as a present for someone who wants and introduction to oriental cooking and would be particularly good to attend in a small group or with a partner.
