Things to do with your extra hours of daylight

In a few days we’ll all be turning our clocks forward an hour, meaning that we’ll be treated to even more hours of daylight as the sunsets get later. At UKMums.tv we are all for making the most of the day, so here are some things that you can do to get the best out of the daylight hours!

1. Exercise
Now the days are starting to get warmer, why not go for an evening walk in the countryside or go for a bike ride with the family? Make the most of the longer evenings and take the kids for a walk after school, you’ll all feel better for getting a bit of fresh air!


2. Get baking
There are plenty of great summer baking recipes out there so, whether you’re a skilled baker or just want to try something new, pick a recipe you’ve never tried before and have a go! Your family will love to try out what you bake and you might just find a new favourite recipe.

3. Go out for a meal
There’s nothing more relaxing than sitting outside a restaurant and enjoying a meal with your partner, family or friends. An evening meal sat out in the sun is sure to be a treat and could be a chance for you to have a catch up with the girls.

4. Have a pamper
With our busy lives as mums we can sometimes forget to pamper ourselves once in a while. Put on a facemask, do your nails or try something new with your hair and we can guarantee that your mood will be instantly boosted and you’ll be left feeling refreshed.

5. Organise your wardrobe
As women we all secretly love to have a wardrobe sort out and update from time to time! Think about getting rid of any clothes that you haven’t worn for a long time or know you won’t wear again and indulge in a bit of retail therapy to get your wardrobe back up to date.
