Who doesn’t want to tone up and lose a few pounds for Christmas? We checked out the NHS website for quick exercise routines and here is a range of 10-minute work-outs to choose from to exercise the whole body. Remember to warm up before you start and cool down when you finish!

1. Full work-out
This 10-minute work-out works the bums, abs, legs and arms in 10 easy steps. All you need is a resistance band and you’re ready to go. If you don’t have one, a bottle of water would work equally well.

2. Cardio
Here’s a 10-minute routine for a cardio work-out. Get your heart rate up with the rocket jumps, star jumps and squats included in this routine which promises to burn calories to help you lose weight. You just need a skipping rope for one of the exercises.

3. Legs, bums and tums
To focus on the troublesome legs, bums and tums area check out this routine which features squats, lunges and calf raises along with stomach crunches and obliques.

4. Bingo wings
Make problem upper arms a thing of the past with this bingo wings blaster work-out. The combination of push ups, bench dips and tricep kickbacks will strengthen your upper arms and banish flab.

5. Abdominals
Deal with your abdominals with this stomach-crunching abs routine for strengthening your core muscles. There are side planks and oblique crunches included to get you the flat stomach of your dreams.
