Grab the popcorn as this month promises a series of fantastic new releases at the cinema. We’ve taken a look at IMDb to see what’s set to be shown on the big screen in April, so take a look and discover what takes your fancy.

The Boss Baby – April 7

Who loves a good animation film? We do! And this DreamWorks production looks fab. It’s about a teenager called Tim Templeton who describes his seven-year-old self as being jealous of his fast-talking, briefcase-carrying baby brother named the "Boss Baby" who’s voiced by Alec Baldwin.

A Dog’s Purpose – April 14

Here’s a comedy drama that’s sure to be loved by all the family, whether you’re a dog lover or not. It shows a pooch called Bailey looking for a new purpose in life over the course of several lifetimes and owners, from his birth to his death and to his reincarnation through four different dog breeds. Each time he is reincarnated, it tells his story from life to death. You’ll be sure of a few tears as well as giggles with this one.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – April 28

Marvel movie fans will be delighted to hear Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 will be gracing cinema screens here in the UK from April 28th. The story continues on from the adventures of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) as the team sets on a mission to unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage. It sees old enemies become new allies and favourite characters from the classic comics will also come to their aid. Here at UKMums.TV, we can’t to see which other Marvel characters make an appearance!

The Fate of the Furious – April 14

Our final pick is one for the adults (who doesn’t love a dose of Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson on their screens) in the form of the latest edition in the Fast and the Furious franchise. This time Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game and the rest of the crew has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman seduces Dom into the world of crime he can't seem to escape!
