Wimbledon Style Ideas

Are you lucky enough to have tickets to Wimbledon? Then you’ll probably be wondering what to wear. While there is no specific dress code, visitors are encouraged to be prepared for all weather conditions – hot or cold, wet or dry – and to wear sensible, comfortable footwear – flip-flops and high heels are not recommended! Unless you’re in the Members’ area, then smart casual is the general rule. Remember a hat as the sun can be blisteringly hot if it shows up and waterproofs with a hood are also a good idea in case it doesn’t! So, with everyone wanting to look smart, particularly on Centre Court, here are a few ideas to give you some dress code inspiration.

1. Flute Sleeve Jacquard Dress – Next - £50

This stylish, light dress from Next is ideal for keeping cool whilst still looking smart and will be just perfect on a sunny day.

2. Priscilla Floral Dress from Hobbs -  John Lewis - £159

With a large-scale floral print on both the front and back, this sleeveless dress has a rounded neckline and is at a flattering length just above the knee.

3. Phase Eight Navy Adelaide Jumpsuit – Debenhams £120

Ideal for such an occasion, this structured jumpsuit features a flattering V-neckline and a wide leg. It’s finished with a gold-look clasp belt, and fastens with a concealed back zip.

4. Pashmina Shawl Wraps – Pashminas and Wraps - £24.99

All of the above will certainly team up with a pashmina without losing any style and, with a choice of over 40 colours, there’s bound to be one here to match whatever you’ve decided to wear.

5. Snake Print Scarf Trim Hat – Marks and Spencer - £17.50

For a stylish way to keep the sun off your face, this elegant sun hat is a summer must-have, and if the snake print scarf won’t quite match what you’re planning on wearing, you can always swap it for a co-ordinating scarf which will!
