Beefeater Grill Review
We visited our local Beefeater Grill at the weekend for a family meal and had a very enjoyable evening.
It was very busy when we got there but we were shown to our table immediately and drinks were ordered while we looked through the menu. Obviously, the clue’s in the name – Beefeater Grill – and so there was plenty of choice of steaks, burgers as well as chicken for the carnivores amongst us, but we did feel that the alternative options were somewhat limited and it did seem somewhat pricey.
The Tear and Share garlic bread was scrummy, as was the Pulled Beef and Yorkshire Pudding; the garlic mushrooms were slightly disappointing, though, as they only came with either ranch or BBQ dip (my personal preference is for garlic mayonnaise).
That said, we ordered steaks with one of us choosing the BBQ ribs and another the fish and chips. Everything was cooked to perfection and, apart from the bones from the ribs, there was nothing left afterwards!
That then left the question – did we have enough room for pudding?! And yes, some of us did! Two wonderful ice cream sundaes, one cheesecake and a chocolate brownie later and we were stuffed!
The service was excellent; despite being very busy, we didn’t have to wait long for our meals to arrive and our young waitress was constantly checking that everything was okay and refilling our drinks when requested - nothing was too much trouble for her – thank you, Georgia.
We didn’t have any children with us but could see from other tables that the children had been given activity packs to entertain them during the evening, which helps to make a stress-free visit for parents as well as other guests. The children’s menu is excellent with a good variety of options for children – veggie sticks and fruit salads featuring among the choices – and excellent value too. There are currently offers available for children dining at the Beefeater so why not head over to www.beefeater.co.uk for more information.
All in all, we had a lovely evening with good food and excellent service and would definitely go there again.
