Celebrate Lush Gift Box Review
With the Jubilee and the Olympics on the horizon this summer, it’s definitely time to celebrate! And what better way to celebrate than with a big box of cosmetic bliss?
The Celebrate box from LUSH is a fun-filled treasure trove of goodies, all wrapped up a box of red, white and blue bunting. Here’s what our mum reviewer thought when she took home the goodies:
Happy Hippy Shower Gel
A strong refreshing citrusy burst - ideal for awakening the senses in the morning, this is bound to put a smile on your face. Used liberally this cleans the hair really well too which is a bonus if you run out of shampoo, but needs following up with a conditioner, as leaves the hair feeling coarse without. Great for use on a hot day, as doesn't leave you feeling clammy/ sticky.
The Olive Branch Shower Gel:
This mandarin-scented shower gel lets you drift off to the sunny Med without leaving your shower, but does smell a little masculine, so perhaps better for the man in your life! Leaves the skin and hair feeling soft, which makes it especially good for moisturizing dry hair that might have been dehydrated by the elements.
Sea Vegetable soap
Made with actual handfuls of seaweed, this is pleasantly mild and wonderfully nourishing, leaving skin feeling soft and healthy!
Honey I washed the Kids soap:
A little bit indulgent, this honey-scented soap had such a strong sweet smell I wanted to eat it! Ideal for mums with a sweet tooth, as others may find it a tad overpowering. Left skin feeling nourished, but did leave the face feeling tight and dry, so not the best for face unless you have oily skin.
Karma Soap:
Enlivening but also warming, this soap was infused with mild spicy scents and citrus, which is supposed to capture the heady ambience of Kensington Market in the 1960s! Whilst I don’t know about that, it was fantastic for warming you up on a cold morning and putting a little spice in your step!
Summary:
Overall we were thrilled with this gift box, which is definitely worth celebrating! The red, white and blue soaps were all distinctive and made me yearn for a good old fashioned bar of soap! The shower gels were also superb, with two very different options depending on your mood. The only slight downside was that the gels didn’t foam up quite as much as you’d expect, but with completely natural, good-for-you ingredients, we couldn’t really find much to grumble about!
