Fireman Sam Ocean Rescue DVD review

Fireman Sam Ocean Rescue DVD review

Fireman Sam is back with a new DVD showing how he deals with disasters at sea. 'Ocean Rescue' is a series of six new missions that take place off the coast of a welsh town, Pontypandy, where the residents are saved from their seafaring troubles.

When we got the DVD both my boys wanted to put it on.  The first episode covers the grand opening of Pontypandy's Ocean Rescue Centre and introduces the new coastguard Ben, who works alongside Fireman Sam and the Rescue Team and it’s not long before a local resident ends up in trouble at sea and the team have to be called into action. All six adventures are really good and the boys wanted to watch them all again once the DVD was finished.

The animation is good in its use of bright bold colours but personally I’m not a fan of the CGI as I think it makes the characters look a bit wooden but the kids really like it

The DVD also has four printable activity sheets which I think is a really nice touch and added bonus

Fireman Sam: Ocean Rescue is out now and be can picked up for around £10 with a running time of 70 minutes its an ideal gift for any Fireman Sam fan and excellent stocking filler.
