Wet wipes, every mother’s staple is set to be banned
Following the ban on plastic straws and bottles and with the 5p charge for carrier bags in place, the government is set to ban every mother’s must-have that are wet wipes.
This news has come to light following the Government’s drive to get rid of one-use plastics.
As some wet wipes are made with polypropylene they won’t break down in the sewers and instead either clog up our drains or wash up on our shores.
Even wipes which are labelled as ‘flushable’ often contain plastic, meaning that they will not biodegrade.
Used to remove makeup and on our baby’s skin, wet wipes are a staple for every mother – what are your thoughts on the ban? Let us know over on Facebook and Twitter
