Spring/summer trends to follow for Ascot

Following on from the latest fashion shows we have researched the spring/summer fashion trends for 2018 and what better time to try out one of these trends than at The Royal Ascot in June!

Think pretty pastels
Ice cream hues were displayed on the catwalk - think sugar almond pinks, lavender, lemon sorbet and pistachio greens! Following on from the trend, we at UKMums.tv love this light pink Ruffle Midi Dress. Sitting just below the knee this dress is perfect for the races! Finish the look with a pair of white heels and a fascinator.

Bright & Bold
In contrast to the powdery pastels, vibrant reds, colbat blues and sunshine yellows also dominated the runways. The trend referred to as Crayola is mostly made up of a primary colour palette and it's a trend that needs to be worn with confidence! Why not try a striking red wide leg jumpsuit with a black blazer (to be worn on the shoulders) and a pair of block heels. If you’re feeling really brave why not try the red with a bright pink blazer?

Polka dots
Dress to impress at Ascot in the polka dot print! If you’re a fan of 1950s fashion opt for a red and white polka dot dress to get that retro look. For those after a more classic look choose a black and white polka dot dress. You can always cover up with a shawl if it’s a little chilly!

Checks
Often only thought of in the winter months, you’ll be pleased to know that checks will be joining us this spring and summer with folksy ginghams seen at Loewe and a whole show of them at Fendi!

What will you be wearing to Ascot? Let us know over on Facebook and Twitter.
